Indian Cooking Recipe for Festivals:

This recipe is prepared on Krishna Ashtami (Krishna Jayanthi).


Rice powder - 2 cups
Jaggery (gur) - 1 cup
Coconut scraping - 1/2 cup
Fried Black gram powder - 1 tea spoon
Oil for frying

Method :

Prepare a syrup of jaggery with little water 
Add rice flour, dal powder, coconut scraping, cardamom powder to the syrup;prepare dough 
Make small balls with the dough and keep aside for 30 minutes 
Heat the oil in a deep pan on fire and fry the seedai till it turns crisp and brown 
Store in a air tight container
