Indian Cooking Recipe : Kesar Biscuits
115 gms maida
40 gms sugar
50 gms ghee
a small piece nutmeg
a little saffron
1 tsp milk
Keep the almonds in hot water for a few minutes.
Take out the skin and cut them very finely.
Chop the pistachios. Powder the elaichi and nutmeg together.
Warm the saffron and melt in 1 tsp of milk.
Cream the ghee and sugar properly.
Put the saffron, cardamom and nutmeg powder and mix properly.
Put the well-sieved maida and make a dough without adding any liquid.
Roll out the dough using a little maida.
Sprinkle a few nuts and give a light final roll.
Cut into desired shapes.
Grease a baking tin, keep the biscuits over it and bake in a moderate oven at
350ºF for 15 minutes.
Keep it to cool and store.
