Indian Cooking Recipe : Kesar Nankhatai Biscuits
100 gms maida
100 gms fine semolina
100 gms powdered sugar
¼ tsp nutmeg powder
1 tsp thick fresh curds
100 gms ghee
½ tsp cardamom powder
¼ tsp soda bi-carb
¼ tsp saffron
1 tsp milk
Sieve the maida. Sieve the semolina with a fine sieve.
Cream the ghee and sugar properly until it becomes light and creamy.
Put the cardamom and nutmeg powders and cream again.
Warm the saffron and melt in 1 tsp of milk.
Put the curds, soda bi-carb and make saffron.
Stir well. Put the maida and semolina and knead well.
Form into small rounds.
Place on a greased baking tin and bake in a moderate oven at 300ºF for
at least 30 to 40 minutes.
Keep it to cool and store.
