Indian Cooking Recipe : Coconut Chutney
Ingredients :
2 cups coconut gratings
4 red chillies
¼ tsp asafoetida powder
tamarind lump (marble size)
½ tbsp mustard seeds
2 tsp oil
2 tbsp black gram dal
salt to taste
Method :
Heat oil in frying pan. Add mustard.
When it crackles, add black gram dal and roast a little.
Add red chillies and roast till dal turns brown.
Then add asafetida. Remove from flame.
Mix coconut gratings, add salt and grind, using a little water.
