Indian Cooking Recipe : Parupu Usili
¼ cup toovar dal
¼ cup channa dal
4 red chillies
A small pinch hing
1 tsp urad dal
¼ tsp mustard
A few curry leaves
1 tsp salt to taste
Vegetables - beans and cabbage,
5 tsp cooking oil
Dry grind toovar dal, channa dal, and red chillies coarsely.
Cut vegetable finely and boil this with little salt.
Allow ½ cup of water to boil, put salt, and mix the dal mixture with
this water. Cook in a pressure cooker.
Heat some oil in a pan and put the mustard.
When they crackle, put urad dal, hing, and curry leaves in oil, and add the
dal mixture to this.
Keep stirring until the dal becomes slightly dry.
Now add the cooked vegetable and continue to stir until all the ingredients get mixed well.
