Indian Cooking Recipe : Plaintain Podimas
2 to 3 plantain
¼ tsp turmeric
a small pinch hing
6 green chillies
a small piece ginger, grated
½ tsp urad dal
1 tsp channa dal
¼ tsp mustard
a small bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
2 tsp cooking oil
1 tsp salt to taste
Boil plantains with turmeric and salt.
Peel skin and grate them and keep it aside.
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan and put the mustard.
When they crackle, put urad dal, channa dal, hing, turmeric, curry leaves, red
chillies, ginger, lemon juice and salt and then add the grated plantains.
Allow it to cook for a few minutes and then garnish with cilantro.
