Indian Cooking Recipe : Coconut Sannan
1 cup coconut gratings
½ pav raw rice
12 roasted red chillies
tamarind lump (marble size)
1 small piece asafoetida
salt to taste
Soak rice in water for 15 minutes. Wash and keep aside.
Grind coconut gratings with roasted red chillies, tamarind and asafoetida to
a smooth paste.
Add rice and grind till it takes rave form. Add salt.
Grease the inner container of a pressure cooker with oil.
Pour masala into it (about 1" thick).
Cook over steam in an idli vessel, under cover.
