Indian Cooking Recipe : Steamed Custard
Ingredients :
For steamed custard :
570 ml milk
30 g castor sugar
4 eggs
vanilla flavour
For the Wine Sauce :
70 ml sherry
2 tbsp any jam or jelly
sugar to tate
lemon juice to taste
70 ml water
Method :
For Steamed Custard :
Warm the milk and vanilla essence. Beat the eggs and sugar together.
Pour the mixture into a buttered mould, cover with greased paper and steam very
gently for about 40 minutes.
Turn and serve with wine sauce
For the Wine Sauce :
Boil all the ingredients together for five minutes.
Strain the sauce.
