Indian Cooking Recipe : Green Tomato Salad
Ingredients :
3 fresh unripe tomatoes, diced
2-3 green chillies, chopped
1 small peice ginger, finely diced
2 tsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp urad dal
¼ tsp asafoetida powder
Salt to taste
Method :
Combine diced tomatoes, chillies, ginger and salt. Mix well.
Add lime juice, mix and set aside for a few minutes.
Heat oil in a small pan, saute black mustard and urad dal till the mustard starts
to pop.
Add asafoetida powder and saute for a few seconds and combine with tomato.
Serve with rice or chapathi meal.
