Method : Combine corn flake crumbs, salt and pepper on waxed paper. Combine milk and egg in shallow dish or pie plate. Stir to blend. Dip fillets in mixture. Coat with crumbs. Heat Crisco to 365ºF in electric skillet. Add a few pieces of fish. Fry for about 2 or 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Turn as needed for even browning. Add more shortening if needed. Drain on paper towels. Serve immeditely.
